Composition:
100 milliliters of solution contain: Calendula extract (50%) 3 g; 1,2 propylene glycol 40 g;
cremophor EL 5 g; basil oil 0,28 g; water tsp 100 ml.

Interactions and incompatibilities
It does not present any type of interaction with local treatments for external otitis.
Indications and target species
Dogs y Cats: Cleaning the external ear (the auditory canal) of dogs and cats. Promotes epithelization. Calendula is used as a wound cleanser and in cases of healing minor wounds.
Contraindications
Use with caution in cases of tympanic perforation.
Posology
• Fill the ear canal with the solution and gently massage the flexible area at the base of the ear in an upward direction, so that the liquid moves up and down and loosens dirt particles from the outer ear, bringing them to the surface. The intensity of the massage must be adapted to the sensitivity of the ear. After the massage, clean the liquid that comes out of the ear with a cotton ball or gauze.
• After releasing the animal, it will shake its head, thereby removing the rest of the dirt contained in the ear canal. In case of extremely dirty ears, the cleaning process can be repeated. Using cotton swabs to clean can inflame or injure ears where there may be deeply localized compacted earwax. If the animal is not calm, or is in pain, it can be sedated prior to Otifree administration.

Dosage: For cleaning prior to the administration of local treatment for otitis externa, administer once before cleaning. As a frequent-use cleaner in healthy ears to prevent the occurrence of otitis, administer 1-2 times per week in classic breeds. The following reference table can be used as a guide:
