Composition:
Lactic acid; salicylic acid; plant extracts; transcutol; oleic acid.
Pharmacological properties
Otoclean® contains keratolytic, cerumenolytic, emollient, sanitizing and
moisturizers that give the product excellent qualities for hygiene and care of the canal
external auditory system of the dog and cat, keeping it free of accumulations of dirt, earwax or
secretions.
Indications and target species
Dogs y Cats: Auricular hygiene, prevention of otitis, coadjuvant to the treatment of otitis.
Posology
Apply Otoclean® in each ear canal of the dog or cat in sufficient quantity depending on the
animal size:
• In large animals, apply one vial (5 ml) in each ear.
• In animals of medium or small size, the content of a vial can be divided between the two
ears.
Leave Otoclean® to act, without the application of any other substance in the ear, for at least 15
minutes.
Frequency of use: The frequency of Otoclean application will depend on the indication
considered in each case.
• Prevention of otitis: In breeds prone to otitis, due to the anatomy of their auditory pavilion.
(Cocker, Setter, Poodle, etc...), it is advisable to apply Otoclean® periodically. one is recommended
application every 5-7 days, routinely, to keep the external auditory canal in optimum condition
terms.
• Auricular hygiene: unpleasant smell, etc. In animals that present a large accumulation of dirt or
Earwax usually smells unpleasant from the ears. In these cases apply
Otoclean® in each ear canal every 24 hours, for 8 consecutive days, spacing the
applications (every 2-3 days) depending on the response obtained until complete hygiene is obtained
of the ear canals.
• Adjuvant in the treatment of otitis: In animals with otitis, to improve the efficacy of
anti-infective or therapeutic products to be applied, it is convenient to clean the ear canal by removing
the accumulation of dirt, earwax or secretions. So, 15 minutes before applying a solution
otic treatment it is convenient to clean both ears with Otoclean®.
For adequate ear hygiene, complementary cleaning of the auditory pavilion is recommended.
